That Paris Icon I love

I couldn't help myself.....

Welcome to the year of the Dragon, the French do it so well.

                                              the first page of the first magazine you pick up,

                                                                      your street map

                                                picked up from this stand - I got the last one

                                 I am on the back side of this window decal, Le Tour Eiffel is everywhere
                                                      and I haven't even left the airport yet!

now on the streets and the tower is on every corner

                                                                   and in shop windows

and on street posters

in hotel lobbies... as classy art work!

                                                                         Long distant views

                                                    and  competing with other Parisian icons.

                 this view is special, Le Tour Eiffel  as seen from my French friend's apartment window.

                                                      and of course I had my time close up

                                                  and just for tiki on tour the tower sparkled!

and last but not least the towers that came home with me:

                                                                   one happy phone,

                                                               and bling for my keys.

Our Snowy Greeting

After ten days in Europe, where we only had a dusting of snow, we arrived in Boston to this....

                                   
                                     fortunately there was no digging required to get to our car

 Leaving the airport we pass these mounds of salt, used on the roads - every city and little town has it stockpiled and ready.

                       by the time we arrive home it is dark and we get our first look at the driveway.

The next morning, it is not long before I am outside to capture the moment with my camera.
