Am on my way to NZ.
And
I was wondering if I need to bring any Marmite??
It's international news that it is Marmageddon down in Kiwi land ... I can't wait to see the panic and join the outrage.
It's 26 degrees here at the Boston airport and as we left the house this morning I saw our first spring bloom...I'm going to miss Spring!!! But I will also miss the pollen so that is a good thing!
With luck the timing will be spot on for some autumn colour down under. might be too early for that I think, but whatever the season, and While eating my Marmite toast I will enjoy it all.

Recycle Di Sapins
While walking around Prague and Paris we kept seeing the used and rejected urban Christmas tree.
There were only a few trees still being enjoyed.
Seeing Red
I have to agree with others, the French love rouge!
red buses and red carpet at the Opera
Frank and Sultan admire something red outside the Ritz.
the red awning is everywhere
so are shop fronts
But France is not alone....Prague is a bit obsessed with red too.
different shades of red
do you agree?

Sweet Paris
Paris immediately points out that it is sweet - here at CDG in an arrival lounge.
and again in the first shop window you look at.
this window is almost bare, keep walking and you are soon fully immersed.
It was the season for Galettes des Rois (king Cakes), yes we tried one...puff pastry full of luscious frangipane cream.

getting your sweets without the guilt....even savory dishes that look like sweets.
I would need a good coffee to wash down that sweet chestnut puree.
always macarons within view
Even if they are tucked to the side.
That kiwi tart might inspire some cake decorators down in New Zealand, and I want the next chocolate cream puff I make to look like that one!
the marshmallows even tempt - we tried the citron, next time it will be the Framboise.

my shopping bag got special treatment in the light drizzle
it even visited the designer loos
Ah, sweet, sweet Paris.

giant meringues, a French staple.
pick a macaron or two to go with your sandwich.getting your sweets without the guilt....even savory dishes that look like sweets.

Laduree windows...the master of the macaron
my shopping bag got special treatment in the light drizzle
it even visited the designer loos
and inside my shopping bag a little snack in the hotel room.
a sneak peek
Perfection, made by the master. That caramel and sea salt macaron didn't last long enough to be photographed!
and a gift box
that made it safely home.
Ah, sweet, sweet Paris.
