Mid November and Mandy and Andy where here to witness it.
That snow didn't settle,
but it wasn't long before snow fell frequently, and we were soon digging out.
This was the season to be outside
Every morning was a new delight
gorgeous frosty mornings
this is NY's tallest waterfall - the base of the falls has grown to almost meet the top.
it was prime time to learn how to cross country ski -
this frozen pond would have been a good place to start...
but I couldn't wait for the ice
we chose this backyard wood instead - nice and soft for falling!
The outdoor decorations added to the charm
this little woodpecker was a frequent visitor to the suet feeder.
The shops were showing off little winter wonderlands too.
But you needed to be outside to see Ithaca's own little wonderland village
The woods were enchanting
we did lots of exploring
and was soon testing out that pond.
so did the streets of Ithaca
where the snow ploughs were a frequent sight.
the houses looked so picturesque
Far too tempting not to test the ice for myself
Did you ever wonder why all the fire hydrants up in the north had a flag?
the swimming lake in Danby .....really :)
Hello Spring.
